My great-grandfather was Stanislaw Jan Zywicki, born 17 April 1824 in Stezcle, Chodziez parish, Prosna. His parents were Michal Zywicki and Maria Cieslanka (Cieslina). Michal Zywicki was the son of Stanislaw Zywicki and Rozalia Binkowska and they arrived in Stezcle, Chodziez parish, Prosna in the first half of XIX century.
Stanislaw Jan Zywicki married Anna Borowiak around 1849-1850 in Prosna and they had the following children:
Maciej ( Mathias ) born in Prosna 20 Feb. 1850 in Prosna
Stanislaw (Stanislaus ) born 08 May 1853 in Prosna
They came to America in 1856 and settled in Morrison, Illinois U.S.A. where they died.
Walenty (Valentinus) born 05 Jan 1856 in Prosna.
Michael wife Maria Cieslanka died around 1828-1830 and he married Katarzyna Kitanowicz,date and place unknown and they had a son,Mikolaj Ambrozy Zywicki, born 01 Sept. 1831, died 20 Oct. 1831. Evidently Katarzyna Zywicki married again and I sure would love to know who that was. (2007-05-21 21:33)

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002, at St. Francis Home. Age 88 years. Son of the late Michael and Sophie (Kostrzewa) Biskup, Frank was born October 4, 1913 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Verna Purman in August of 1939. She predeceased him on May 30, 1973. Frank then married Stella Filek on November 14, 1975. She survives him. Frank had been employed by General Motors Saginaw Parts Plant for 39 years. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Surviving besides his wife Stella are one daughter and one son, Evelyn and Robert Lambert, Saginaw; Thomas and Kathleen Biskup, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Mike Lambert, Christine and Paul VandeVusse and Tracy Biskup; two great- grandchildren, Jesse Lambert and Brooke VandeVusse; one sister, Mary Biskup, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sandra Lambert, two brothers and two sisters, Joseph and Stanley Biskup, Angeline Bader and Rose Chronowski. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at the St. Francis Home for all of the special care that was given.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Emmett L. Marceau will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Helen Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Prayer Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Visiting Nurse Association, St. Helen Catholic Church or the St. Francis Home.
