Extra Note: Elder brother to our young Peter, was Philip Greutt (1846-1922), who wrote the Indian family history (1855-1872) collection now at the Clarke Library. Peter Gruet Sr. was found in records for Saginaw Co. as early as 1838, he purchased the Bethany Mission in Gratiot County and lived there before moving to Crawford Co. Michigan for a time and then located to the Mt. Pleasant area where he died Jan. 26 1903 in Nottawa Township, Isabella Co.
