OCCUPATION: Lester was employed by the Ford Motor Company at the time he and Jeanette were married. He was there when Ford began the $5 per day wages, but for most of his life Lester was a salesman. He was on the road for Swift for 12 years as a salesman. He sold trailers and oil leases and for a number of years he owned the Sportsman's Store in Harrison, Michigan. This he eventually sold to his son James (H3a63) and retired to Florida.

!RESEARCH: Lester and his second wife Ruth, were collectors of Indian artifacts which included some 2,500 arrowheads. He also had a collection of 12,000 bottles representing the era from the early 1800's to 1900. Another colection was licence plates dating from 1910.
