I found information other than what the family remembered from Clark Historical Library online a biography of Joseph Ira Lovell, from the 1884 book of Gratiot Co., Michigan. I also used Family search.com, Ancestry com, Familytreemaker.com, Rootsweb.com. I own the 1994 Sumner Cemetary book, and the older version of it. Census sheets from ancestry.com on line.I also used US GenWeb.com for Gratiot Co., MI, Trumbull Co., Oh. I also put family trees online at Familytreemaker and people contact me with more information. I have death notices from Ohio and Gratiot Co., MI. Joseph Lovell was in the Civil War two times and found information about him in Old books at Ithaca Library when I visited. It is a set of books Michigan in the Civil War they have the whole set. You can't photocopy have to write down the information. A book on the Gillmer family included some Lovell information also.
