Born to John and Rebecca Peters near Onaway, Michigan. Family lived on a40 acre fram until 1920 when she and her parents and sister Pearl movedto Montana where with two brothers, they operated a wheat and cattleranch. This is where she finished school. After several years of cropfailure they all moved back to Gaylord Michigan. She was a nurse atGaylord Hospital for 7 years. In 1936, she married Fred Jacobs who ownedand operated a large wheat & cattle ranch in Montana. A son, KennethRichard was born to them in 1938 and passed away in 1944. Kenneth hascerebral palsy (from a long and difficult birth). Fred and Anne wereadvised by doctors to put him in an institution. This they refused todo. Instead, Fred the inventor made things to help Kenny get around thehouse. Kenny even had a pony. Ann loved children and was mother andfriend to all her neices and nephews. They often spent the summers withher on their ranch. Ann was the historian and the provider of much ofthis family history. She passed away in 1991 while she was staying atthe home of her grandniece, Marilyn Altman.
