Former Methodist Minister. Most of the family lived aroundChatham,Ontario, Canada. "Grandpa Auger was well known in EasternCanada. Beinga minister, he traveled quite a bit. My mother wasn't toowell when shewas growing up. Think she was Grandpa's pet. He used totake her alongon some of his visits and as a rule folks used to servetheir best mealwhen the preacher would come to call. One time thery wereeating at aplace, all went well until someone mentioned the meat wassquirrel.Well, that proved to be too much for my mothers sensitivestomach and shemade a dash for the door!! In approximately 1906 Richard& Elizabethmoved to North Carolina.
