OBIT: The Denver News 3-3-1951
Albert J. Auger, of 764 Madison St., native of Colorado and professional singer, died Thursday in his home of a heart attack. He was 66.
OBIT: Born Jan. 13, 1885, in Central City, Mr. Auger worked as a blacksmiththere for his father, who was in the mining business. He came to Denver in 1913 as an ornamental iron blacksmith, working on several majorbuilding projects here. He also was employed by the City Highway Dept.and the Union Pacific Railroad.
OBIT: Mr. Auger was much in demand as a church soloist here for many years. Hewas a life member of the Central City Lodge No. 6, AF&AM.
OBIT: He married Miss Edith J. Burrows in 1905.
OBIT: Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Hinton; five sons,Harold A., George C., and William J. Auger, all of Denver; Clayton E., of California and Robert E. of Cambria, Calif.; two brothers, Charles and Clare of Denver, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Matthews and Mrs. J. Walter Lindsey of Denver, and 10 grandchildren.
