Born to John and Rebecca Peters near Onaway, Michigna. Family lived on a 40 acre farm until 1920 when she and her parents and sister Pearl moved to Montana where with two brothers, they operated a wheat and cattleranch. This is where she finished school. After several years of crop failure they all moved back to Gaylord Michigan. She was a nurse at Gaylord Hospital for 7 years. In 1936, she married Fred Jacobs who owned and operated a large wheat & cattle ranch in Montana. A son, Kenneth Richard was born to them in 1938 and passed away in 1944. Kenneth has cerebral palsy (from a long and difficult birth). Fred and Anne were advised by doctors to put him in an institution. This they refused to do. Instead, Fred the inventor made things to help Kenny get around the house. Kenny even had a pony. Ann loved children and was mother and friend to all her neices and nephews. They often spent the summers with her on their ranch. Ann was the historian and the provider of much of this family history. She passed away in 1991 while she was staying at the home of her grandniece, Marilyn Altman.
