General Notes for Child Alexander McQUEEN

RESIDENCE: About 1881 - 1900 Hillman Michigan

RESIDENCE: After the birth of daughter with Elizabeth the family moved back to Wellington Co. - Mayborough Twp.

RESIDENCE: From the book "Thru the years...Maryborough Tp Volume 1851-1998" The following is a list of property that was owned by Alexander McQueen in Maryborough 1920-1937(?) Houstonville con 8 , lot 65A (North of River) - just south of Moorefield 1925-1926 20 McGivern St.(north part), Moorefield 1930-1940 23 McGivern St., Moorefield The comment under 20 McGivern St. Alexander McQueen was a Manufacturer and Robert Johnston's relative - Stanley Johnston and his wife Edith were Postmasters. Robert owned the south part of 20 McGivern St. (this was very confusing to me - who was Stanley and Edith?, they did not own this property)
From Katherine & Ken Taylor taylork@telusplanet.net

BIRTH: birth place listed on marriage to Azile as Mt. Forest, Canada - Found in Grey Co.

CENSUS: The information on Alexander's birth date comes from the 1901 Canadian Census. This is now on-line (in scanned version) at the Canadian archives. Wellington Center, Maryborough, F-3, Pg 15, Family #153 (type in pg 14 on schedule 2)

CENSUS: Found in Montmorency need to transcribe.

DEATH: Death date from:
Death Entries in Early Alpena Michigan Newspapers - by Northeast Michigan Genealogical and Historical Society of Alpena Michigan. Source of this entry not listed. Lists residence as Jackson, Michigan

DEATH: This needs to be investigated as he was living in Montmorency and working at a lumber camp in 1920. In the census it lists him as owning his home, also which is another indicator that he may have not been the Robert that lived in Jackson.
