Karleigh died at the age of 8 days old. I, Sherilyn Powers (neeCoulter), had been to see and hold her for the first time that day at theNICU. She was really fussy until the nurse handed her to me, then shesettled down immediately. The nurse said "She sure knows Auntie, doesn'tshe?" and I just smiled. I stayed with her, holding her and rocking herfor about an hour while she slept peacefully. I left, telling Karleighthat I would be back to see her the next day. She died a couple of hoursafter I left her.
