Furlo, Mr. James E. (Rusty),
Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away suddenly Friday, December 21, 2001. Age 46 years. He was born February 7, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan. Rusty married Carole Wazny on March 5, 1998. She survives him. He was employed at Ameritech for the past 23 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Rusty was an avid golfer and member of the Germania Town & Country Club. He coached football at Nouvel Catholic Central High School for 16 years where he touched the lives of many students. He also loved music. Surviving besides his wife Carole are one daughter, Alison Furlo, Saginaw; two step-sons, Aaron Railling and his fiancee Angela Anscomb, Florida; Chad Pawlick, Saginaw; a grandson, Kaiden Railling; Rusty's mother, Donna Furlo, Saginaw; three brothers, Tony and Sherrie Furlo, Saginaw; Michael Furlo, Saginaw; Thomas Furlo, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews who were a very important part of his life. Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Furlo, by a brother, Ronald Furlo and by Frank Sinatra.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2001 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. William Taylor will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Family and friends will pray the Rosary 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home followed by sharing of memories. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Rusty Furlo Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Nouvel Catholic Central High School.
