Passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. He was born Jan. 5, 1911in Saginaw, where he has lived all his life. He married Violet Rosoll, March 4, 1932. She survives him. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, its Holy Name Society, and the Knights of Columbus. He was employed by the Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry as a coremaker. Besides his wife, he leaves five children: Margaret Jane, Ralph, Charles, and John Baase, at home. Pfc. Thomas E. Baase Jr. in Korea: his mother, Mrs. Susan HAEBLER; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Arnst, Mrs. John J. Harris all of Saginaw. Friends may see him at the Frazee Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday until time of service which will be announced later.

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, October 6, 2001. Age 88 years. Violet L. Rovoll was born August 28, 1913. She was married to Thomas Edward Baase March 4, 1932. He preceded her in death January 18, 1951. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Bridgeport, the League of Catholic Women and the Ladies of Charity. Surviving are one son and one daughter and spouses, John and Nancy Baase, Bridgeport, Margaret and Frank Gorney, Saginaw; two daughters- in-law Alvina Baase, Saginaw, and Bertha Baase, Albion; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother and spouse, George and Anne Rovoll, Bridgeport; many nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded in death by three sons, Thomas E. Jr., Ralph L., and Charles J. Baase; one grandson Douglas E. Baase; three brothers Myron, Floyd, and John Cox; and one sister Ruth Sanburn.

He was born on August 20, 1943, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Violet Rovoll Baase of Saginaw, Michigan, and the late Thomas Edward Baase. He was an employee of Harvard Industries for 25 years, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his, wife, Bertha Bernice Adkins Baase.
