Age 58 years. Ralph was born on April 4, 1940 in Saginaw. He married Alvina Wasmiller-Reis. She survives him. Ralph had been employed by Delphi Saginaw Steering Gear Systems. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and its Ushers Club. Ralph was a member of the Local Union #699, Knights of Columbus Council #593, Aeries #497 and the American Legion Post #22. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Marine Corps. Ralph retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1996. Surviving besides his wife, Alvina are his mother, Violet L. Baase; one sister Margaret and her husband Frank Gorney; two brothers, Charles Baase and his wife Bertha; John Baase and his wife Nancy; three step-sons, Peter F. Reis, Danny L. Reis, David W. Reis and his wife Marci. Ralph also leaves a very special grandson, Andrew P. Reis; several nieces and nephews and their families and great-nieces and nephews; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Baase and one brother, Thomas Baase Jr. and a nephew, Douglas E. Baase. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 1998 at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Rev. Robert W. Davey will officiate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Ralph will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper in Saginaw or St. Christopher Catholic Church.

Raymond H. Baase, Saginaw Township, MI, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2000 at his home. Age 64 years.
Raymond H. BAASE was born to the late Harold and Sylvia (HOFFMAN) BAASE in Manistee, Michigan on December 30, 1935.
He had served in the Korean War. He married Norita WAGNER on November 12, 1955. She survives him. Raymond was retired from U.S. Graphite.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons and two daughters:
