Mr. Louis Baase

Died Sunday at his residence. Age 78 years. He was a retired custodian from First Presbyterian Church, Saginaw, formerly worked for the City of Saginaw, was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union in Saginaw. He was preceded in death by wife Sophia Baase, one daughter, JoAnn Garrett, one son, Terry Lee Baase, two brothers, Gilbert Baase, David Basse and one sister, Jane Macataro. He is survived by five children, Pamela Gail Russell and Timothy E. Baase, Ekron, Ky.; Kenneth Baase, Louisiana; Louis Edward Baase Jr. and Marsha K. Gilman, Saginaw, Michigan; seven brothers and sisters, William Baase, Fritz Baase, Beatty Campbell, Hazel Sandburn, Saginaw, Michigan; Mary Clark, Oklahoma; Robert Baase, Zilwaukee, Michigan and Almeada McFerden, Foxboro, Minnesota. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home, Brandenburg, Ky. with Rev. David Sturgeon officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Gowanda, Dec. 30-Funeral services for Louis H. Baase, whose death occurred Friday, were held at the home Monday afternoon. Rev. Irving C. Tepas officiated. Louis Baase, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Baase, was born May 1, 1874, in Ebenezer. Surviving are his wife Henrietta Baase, one son, Henry; his father William Baase; three brothers, William Jr., Albert and Charles; and three sisters, Mrs. Stillwahl, Mrs. L. Adams and Mrs. A. Warren. Burial was at South Wales.

Mrs. Louise Devlin, Here 13 Years, Dies
Following a long illness, Mrs. Louise W. Devlin, Reno resident for 13 years died yesterday at a local hospital. She came to the this city from California.
Mrs. Devlin was a native of Germnay, aged 74 years, but most of her lifetime had been spent in this country.
She was the wife of Harry Devlin, local plumber; mother of Mrs. Emma Macill of San Francisco, and grandmother of Mrs. James Sheridan of San Francisco.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Ross-Burke company home chapel. Rev. A. C. Keck of the Lutheran church will officiate, and interment will be in Mountain View cemetery.

Harry Devlin, former Reno resident, died this morning in San Francisco, according to the word received by friends. Mr. Devlin was engaged in the plumbing business here a number of years ago and was a member of the local plumber's union. The body will be accompanied to Reno for graveside services in Mountain View Cemetery Wednesday under the direction of Ross-Burke company.

Mrs. Louise Devlin, Here 13 Years, Dies
Following a long illness, Mrs. Louise W. Devlin, Reno resident for 13 years died yesterday at a local hospital. She came to the this city from California.
Mrs. Devlin was a native of Germnay, aged 74 years, but most of her lifetime had been spent in this country.
She was the wife of Harry Devlin, local plumber; mother of Mrs. Emma Macill of San Francisco, and grandmother of Mrs. James Sheridan of San Francisco.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Ross-Burke company home chapel. Rev. A. C. Keck of the Lutheran church will officiate, and interment will be in Mountain View cemetery.

Marcia Wazny

Wazny, Marcia L., Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Saint Mary's hospital with her family by her side. Age 68 years. The daughter of the late Harold and Sylvia (Hoffman) Baase, Marcia was born April 28, 1932 in Manistee. She married Clarence Michael Wazny on May 10, 1952 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saginaw. Surviving are her husband, Clarence, four sons, Mike (Debbie) Wazny, Clarence (Dawn) Wazny, Harold (Brenda) Wazny and Tim Wazny, six daughters, Pat (Mrs. Ron) Hamp, Carole (Mrs. Rusty) Furlo, Laura (Mrs. Daniel) Panko, Mary (Mrs. William) Schwettmann, Teresa (Mrs. Charles) Carter and Joani Wazny; 28 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Mary) Baase and Dick Baase; two sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Dick) Hartley and Bernice Brown; three sisters- in-law, Vivian, Rita and Katy. Mrs. Wazny was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Ted and Raymond Baase and by a sister- in-law, Connie Baase. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Donald L. Christensen officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Andrews Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Avenue on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will recite the Rosary 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
