Family story from Pamela S. Baase <celticsun_1885@yahoo.com>. Pam descended from son Albert.
The family story passed down was that William was born in the harbor at New York when entering the country.
In going through the censuses William listed many different places as his place of birth, but the key to them all is that he was naturalized in 1876. If born in New York or New York harbor he would not have to had to obtain his citizenship papers. The family story needs more investigation as I believe this William is the son of Joachim Baase. Joachim had a son by the name of William (born in Mecklenburg the same year as this William) that came to the USA with him in 1865 ship records and settled in the same area of NY as this William. Joachim and son Henry later moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1878-79 but William is not found in Saginaw records as moving with them. I did find this William in the 1870 Census working at Leonard Unger's in Gardenville. In 1880 census he is in Buffalo, NY and married. Pam says that this William's death certificate says he was born in Saginaw which may simply be misinformation but does create a family tie to the Baase family in Saginaw. Also note that a census for one of William's daughters while still single and working out states her father was born in Michigan.

A new medical test holds out the promise of finding heart disease early before arteries become clogged or even before symptoms arise.
The noninvasive screening exam involves a device -- called an ultrafast CT scanner -- that quickly and painlessly takes X-ray images of the heart.
Proponents of the ultrafast CT predict the test will become as common for people at risk for heart disease as mammograms are for women trying to detect cancer.
<snip>
A scan of ***Barbara Baase of West Seneca*** recently picked up tiny bits of calcium in a coronary artery, a potential sign that she may suffer blockage of the artery in the future.
Mrs. Baase, 53, a former heavy smoker with a family history of heart disease, hopes the information helps keep her healthy.

"These records were cataloged by a Boy Scout (Harry Morse) of East Aurora, New York in 1972.
This record which may not be completely perfect is better than a present recording trip
because this cemetery has been vandalized many times.
The past and Present cemetery Association hasn't really been active in the preservation of records or gravestones;
therefore the early burials and the monuments are completely missing or were discarded and those names are now unknown.
This record is the property of the East Aurora Historian's Office in East Aurora, New York.
I have copied these records for the Town of Wales.
Information will be added, if it is know to aid the researchers in establishment of their histories"
